Come have a Conversation with the Artists on June 19th from 6-7PM to learn more about these amazing artists and their work!
REAL(ISM) IMAGINED features the the work of Cyndy Carstens, Cindy Moses, Pat O'Brien and Lucretia Torva hangs until June 22nd.
Carstens' combination of realism, impressionism and the abstract, invites the viewer to explore nature while reflecting on our transient existence and place within the larger scope of earth, universe and the beyond.
Moses captures familiar moments in our day-to-day world. She is fascinated by the way in which we interact with one another that is often bypassed, overlooked, or unnoticed. By preserving these images the viewer is reminded there is a life going on all around us that is often missed.
O'Brien work captures a moment in time as if caught in a time capsule. She invites the viewer to ask what stories her subjects could tell. Recently she has been focusing on the little town in Lowell, AZ that for her feels frozen in time. O'Brien’s work revisits elements of history and design.
Torva has always created realistic art, sometimes more surreal, other times more straightforward. She has a desire to prompt people to look at their own environment with more care and attention, to really SEE and experience it. She feels that we experience our world through our senses and that being sensually attuned brings us to a greater spiritual awareness.
