Come join certified facilitator: Jen Beam at Treasures 4 Teachers on Wednesday, July 12th from 9:00am to 11:00am for a STEM based, early childhood focused, professional development workshop.
Invention Literacy — Maker Space Jr.
Grades Pre-K to 3: Maker Space for Creative Hands: Creating a safe space to create, make and build. This workshop introduces the idea of bringing a maker-space into the classroom for small hands and big imaginations! All the activities will use supplies from T4T. The participants will build a robot and their own invention.
The workshop is $35.00. Each attendee will receive a certificate for 2 hours of professional development. Each current T4T member will be able to shop one free $5 fill-a-bag of items from the workshop.
All teachers are welcome to register for this workshop, you do not have to be a member to attend. Please use the provided link here or on the azscience.org website to register.
Jen will be doing a series where each workshop will have a different theme and focus, geared towards teaching fun science and math concepts to preschool through third grade, and covering a range of content areas beyond STEM. See our facebook events pages for upcoming workshops in this series!
