The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix & Brelby Theatre Company Present
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Garden”
Performing twice! On June 11th and 25th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved plays with something for everyone: spooky woods, supernatural beings, mistaken identities, shape shifting, love, music, and mayhem.
Join us, family and friends for a special evening of outdoor theater. Guests will be immersed in scenes as they take place live throughout the garden. The beauty of a traditional Japanese Garden truly sets the scene for a night of whimsy, strolling and laughter.
Admission: $10/ $8 Seniors
Kona Ice of Tempe and Central Phoenix will be at the garden! And of course we will have our Japanese Bar open! Snacks and Non-alcholic Japanese beverages sold in the Gift Shop
This will be a non traditional style theater performance. As you stroll along our pathways you will encounter different scenes taking place. Guests may stop and watch the scenes from the pathway for as long as they like until you decide to continue strolling and come across other scenes. We have benches throughout the garden. And in some of the larger areas where room is available we will have a few rows of chairs set up. Unfortunately we do not permit bringing in chairs. However if you would like, you may lay down a blanket in our grass area and enjoy the scenes from there.
