About the Instructor, Tamara Bohannon:
For almost 30 years Tamara Bohannon has been involved in the management of non-profit organizations. She currently serves as Vice President of Philanthropy with Catholic Charities and Community Services of Central and Northern Arizona. She leads a team to cultivate, solicit and steward resources – for this social service agency that focuses on providing solutions to permanently improve the lives of the most vulnerable. She has served in fundraising roles with Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Francis Xavier Parish and the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. She loves a challenge and has made capital campaigns and refocusing development efforts a focus of her work.
Those she works with will tell you she is a servant leader who makes sure strategic thinking, collaboration, and relationship building are at the foundation of everything she does. Her family keeps her young! She has three children in their 20s and her husband Jim reminds her daily about work/life balance. Gardening, walking and a good read work are how she spends her spare time.
