The Dysart Unified School District invites parents of students attending area elementary schools to the annual Academic Pathway Open House in the District Board Room located at 15802 North Parkview Place, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 13th.
The Dysart Unified School District is focused on making certain every child graduates with the 21st Century skills that prepares students for college or a career. This means that it is important to personalize learning so that students can learn in the manner and with the interests that help them engage their education and take their opportunities to the next level.
To accomplish that goal, Dysart schools offer options and opportunities to personalize learning for students through the Cambridge Academy, Innovation Academy, Fine Arts Academy, Global International Academy, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, or STEM, focused programs.
The district also offers three Coding for All schools at Dysart Elementary, Kingswood Elementary, and Surprise Elementary where students will learn coding using hands on experiences in an age appropriate environment as they master Arizona State Standards. Students will also engage in computational thinking, a problem solving process that involves designing solutions that capitalizes on the power of computers.
Academy and program staff will be present to answer questions about these exciting programs. Limited spots are available. Interested parents and guardians are urged to attend to learn about reserve student spots for the 2018/2019 school year.
