Welcome to the second of three training runs for the 3rd Annual Whiskey Basin Trail Runs. Join us for one or all three runs and preview the course in segments on the beautiful Prescott Circle Trail.
The second training run will start at the Thumb Butte Day Use Area (start of the 57K) and run 15-ish miles to Goldwater Lake (start of the 31K).
Runners meet at 8am at the finish (Goldwater Lake). We will then carpool to the Thumb Butte Day Use Area (day use parking fee may apply)--for anyone willing to drive to TB--myself or someone can bring you back to retrieve your vehicle).
These runs are free, self-supported, and open to everyone--registered runners or interested alike. Runners follow the Prescott Circle Trail so study the course or bring a map--there will be no course markings. Runners are encouraged to go their pace--no pressure, no cutoffs--just a fun Saturday on the trails.
After the training run, spend an afternoon in Prescott and join us for lunch or a Saturday afternoon brew. Following the second run, I'm headed to The Local on the hunt for a breakfast burrito. Join me for brunch and stay tuned for a possible second location!
Hope to see you all on the trails!
