Guest artist and hilarious comedian, writer, & ventriloquist, Michael Paul who hails from Los Angeles, California, will be teaching a workshop on character development and writing. And you can take it! Space is super-limited, so reserve your place today!

WHAT: A comedy-writing and character development workshop taught by Michael Paul.

This workshop will talk about digging into character development and joke-writing, “How to SET UP and PAY OFF a joke,” along with how to tap into YOUR funny. More info about Michael can be found at michaelpaulonline.com

WHEN: Saturday, February 24th, 11am-2pm (Includes a brief lunch break)

WHERE: Puppet Pie Studio, 1301 Grand Avenue, Studio 4, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The entrance is on the south side of the building (on McKinley), to the left of the heart mural. Follow the signs on McKinley. There will be signs, don't worry. (You can also find a map through the menu navigation at the top of this page: Contact > Visit.) Doors open 15-20 minutes prior to the workshop.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Coming soon, but I'm pretty sure that reading and writing is going to be on this list.

WHO: This workshop is designed for adults.

About the Instructor:
Michael is well known for creating branded puppet characters including, “Nadia Coma: The World’s Oldest Gymnast” and MTV’s “CJ and Peanut” as well as training casts of “The Lion King” and “Avenue Q”. He has toured with such names as James Brown, Lisa Lampanelli, Wynonna, Joan Rivers and Don Rickles and has been a headliner in over 40 countries along with television credits on The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live.

His published works include comedic editorials for USA Today, Huffington Post and LaughSpin. His new book “Breaking Out of Show Business: What I Discovered by Not Being Discovered” (by Post Hill Publishing) can be found at numerous book outlets including Barnes and Noble.
Michael resides in Los Angeles and continues to work in movies, television and as a comedy writer & script and show consultant.
