Kundalini yoga works to heal the body, and create a union between the physical, emotional and spiritual. it works directly with the endocrine system. The purification and control of the spiritual body takes place within the endocrine glands, under the direction of the mind.
The endocrine glands are associated/connected to the invisible but very present chakras and meridian lines in the body. Edgar Cayce suggested that the endocrine glands are the spiritual centers of the body and that through them our spiritual forces find means of expression. Yoga and Meditation is a key to opening these spiritual centers. The components involved in a Kundalini class work in tandem to provide healing, connection and a deep meditative experience.
These classes will be structured to get your Kundalini Yoga groove on and provide you with the motivation to keep up. Classes include breathing techniques, asana, working with the sound current and mantra, and meditation.
Join Gretchen Bickert for an energizing, revitalizing and uplifting series. This series is comprised of 8 classes, each ending with a Gong-Sound-bath Savasana, with the final class ending on the January 31st with a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. This final evening will be a great time to pull it all together as you relax, and meditate during this Special Sound Celebration. This evening is included in the series price.
Cost: 8 classes for $88.00. Each class is 1 1/2 hours — this is a sweet deal! My hope is that you will be able to attend the whole series, as well as Sadhana and really kickstart — or enhance your personal practice for the year. However, you are more than welcome to drop in when you like for $15 (cash) per individual class. Each class will be transformative.
We will also be having Sadhana on Fridays at 5am (no cost). This series + Sadhana provides you with 3 structured classes and meditation times per week. The intention is to guide you to creating your own personal daily practice! You do not have to register for the entire series though to benefit, and are more than welcome to use the drop in option.
